At Marlin Coast Rangers Football Club, we've been playing football in Cairns since 1946, and Pennell Field in Trinity Beach has been home the whole way through. Senior competitive football sits at the front of what we do: Premier and divisional sides training under lights through the week and playing out their fixtures and results at Pennell Field on the weekend. Around that first-team football runs the rest of the club, with MiniRoos, junior competitive sides and FQPL youth teams sharing the same ground, so a player who starts here young has a genuine path into senior grades at the one club. Come down and watch a game, or call us on (07) 4057 6230 to ask about joining.

Plenty of clubs will get your child onto a pitch on a Saturday. What tends to keep families here is that the club is built for the long run. There's a clear path from a first session with Mini Rangers through to senior football, coaching that carries on between seasons, and a committee made up of people whose own kids play here. We've had 80 years to work out what a football club owes its members, and most of it comes down to consistency.
